I'm Rick, a senior full-stack engineer and software architect based in Brazil. I architect solutions across product interfaces, APIs and concurrent, distributed systems.
My experience spans more than seven years in software, including over six with Elixir and four working professionally with Python and FastAPI. I also build with React and TypeScript, taking ideas from backend architecture through to the interface.
I've architected and launched an MVP as its sole developer, then led its team. I connect product decisions with backend architecture, AI workflows and the interface, carrying a solution from the first idea through implementation.

I architect distributed systems around your product: clear boundaries, deliberate data flows and room to scale. Explore how the pieces work together.
Your web and mobile apps connect through Cloudflare CDN and DNS, then an NGINX load balancer, to Elixir/Phoenix or Go application servers. The servers use Redis cache, a PostgreSQL primary and read replicas. An outbox relay publishes events to Apache Kafka for Elixir workers or Go goroutine workers. Amazon S3 provides static asset storage, and Grafana with OpenTelemetry supports observability.

Your web and mobile apps reach the same API through Cloudflare and NGINX. Elixir/Phoenix or Go instances handle the business logic behind a shared contract.
Scale application instances independently; decide on health checks and edge redundancy before calling the system resilient.

Exploring Go concurrency through synthetic fleet telemetry.
My contribution
Built a Go TCP server and telemetry simulator with persistent connections, bounded channels, a shared worker pool, backpressure, cancellation and atomic metrics. Processing validates data in memory; the image is a conceptual illustration, not a product screenshot.
